How does our academic editing service* work?

We create your document using the following steps:

  1. Brief: We read your online request for help and make sure we understand your requirements. We may email you about your document or chat with you, if necessary. We want to make sure you’re 100% happy with the finished result.
  2. Proposal: We prepare a written invoice with a fixed price. Unlike many of our competitors, our prices won’t change unless you request a different service. With us, there won’t be any sneaky add-ons to catch you unaware. That’s not what we’re about. You simply pay the price on the invoice and we begin the editing process.
  3. Editing: We’ll edit your document and send it to you for review. You might be happy at this point and that will be great! Our job will be complete! Yeehaa! If not, Step 4 ...
  4. Review: This is your chance to review and make changes and ask questions.
  5. Complimentary Support: We then offer complimentary additional support to make sure you are happy with the document.
  6. We’re finished. When you’re totally happy, we’ll send a final ‘clean’ copy of you document.

Meet Dr Kathryn Edgeworth, the CEO behind little big editing

“I know a lot about writing and that’s one of the reasons I started this venture. I’m working on making writing easier, with more accessible, quality feedback for people of all abilities.

My work is about embracing writing and helping people make their work shine. It’s about thinking differently about how words are organised and unpacking the mystery around this.

With my own PhD, I wanted an editor to care about my thesis as if it were their own. I can be trusted to be that someone for you.”

Kathryn Edgeworth is a writer, editor, mentor and speaker, based out of Melbourne and South West Victoria, Australia. She has published internationally on equity and diversity and is on a mission to make an impact. She also runs the company Little Big Editing, mentors higher education students in research, and teaches young people how to be better readers, writers and critical thinkers.
